Meet Debjani Ghosh – Founder & Visionary Behind Rihyaaz Fashions
👩💼 From Midnapore to the World of Handloom Fashion
In 2011, from the heart of Midnapore, a small town in West Bengal, Debjani Ghosh laid the foundation of Rihyaaz Fashions. Armed with only 60 dresses, 20 suits, and 5 lehengas, but with a heart full of passion, she began a journey to revive and reimagine India’s rich handloom legacy.
Her early collections were inspired by her personal love for handmade, regionally unique pieces she collected while traveling. What started as a curated collection soon transformed into a platform that empowered women and weavers across India.
💫 Empowerment Through Every Thread
From day one, Debjani’s vision was rooted in women empowerment. She offered free skill training to women from bustees, orphanages, and shelters, and later employed them as tailors, weavers, artisans, and back-office staff. Today, Rihyaaz stands proud as a women-led sustainable fashion brand changing hundreds of lives.

💬 In Her Words
“I didn’t create Rihyaaz to build a brand. I created it to build lives — to let weavers weave freely, and women rise boldly.”
